The Kutch Flat Roof Shade Net House Project aims to establish shade net houses to facilitate controlled agriculture in the region of Kutch, Gujarat.

Kutch's extreme climate necessitates the use of shade net houses to protect crops from harsh sunlight and temperature variations.

???? Specific Location:
The project will be located in Naranpar a Village in Nakhatrana Taluka in Kutch District of Gujarat State, India. which experiences scorching summers and extreme temperature fluctuations.

The project aims to enhance crop yields, promote sustainable farming practices, and provide livelihood opportunities to local farmers.

???? Size and Structure:
IG Aatreyas will establish flat roof shade net houses designed to cover an area of 3800 square meters, designed for ease of access and ventilation.

???? Climate Impact:
The climate of the ecoregion is tropical savanna/semi-arid. Temperatures average 44 °C during the hot summer months and can reach highs of 50 °C. During winter the temperature can drop to or below freezing point.

???? Selected Crops:
Flat roof shade net houses are suitable for a variety of crops, especially those that benefit from protection against extreme sunlight, heat, and adverse weather conditions. Some crops that can be successfully cultivated in flat roof shade net houses include Tomatoes, Cucumbers, Capsicum, Okra (Lady's Finger), Cherry Tomatoes, Lettuce and Leafy Greens, Herbs, etc…
